Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of Saint Peter (who was guided by Jesus to found the Churc) and Saint Paul (who did great work for the Church). The Church is a huge family that has grown all over the world and we are all invited to be a part of this loving and supportive family.

Despite the wet weather, KS1 had a great sports day on Tuesday and it was wonderful to see how enthusiastically the children participated in all the events. Thank you to Mr Abbas for arranging the morning and a special thank you to all families who came along to encourage class 3 and class 4. Please see below for pictures of the day.

Father Lorenzo will join us on Monday at 2:00pm to celebrate our special First Holy Communion Mass to mark the commitment made by children who have celebrated their First Holy Communion this year. Families are warmly invited to join us.

On Wednesday, our Class 2 children will be making their ‘graduation’ as they prepare to take the big step from Reception to Year 1. The ceremony will take place at 2:00pm and parents are welcome to join us.

The warm weather is set to continue next week, so children must please come to school wearing sun hats, sun screen and bring a bottle of water to safely enjoy their breaktime outside.

Transition Day will take place on Monday 8th July where children will have the opportunity to spend part of the day with their new class teachers in their new classes. Please see below for our staff placements for next year.

There has been a small change to next academic year’s dates - children will return to school on Wednesday 4th September and not Tuesday 3rd September. Click here for a full list of dates.

Have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes,

Miss Clare O’Connor

Art Club

Our Art Club children had terrific fun making colourful pinwheels!

In class 11 our topic is ‘Freedom and Responsibility’. We have been learning about the importance of being responsible even when we wish to have freedom in life. We studied the Ten Commandments and discussed which commandment we thought was the most important to follow. We wrote some beautiful prayers asking God for support and reflected on the meaning and actions behind the Beatitudes from Jesus at the Sermon on the Mount. As we move into Year 6 this topic is particularly important as we recognise the need to show maturity in the choices we make and the responsibility we have for ourselves and each other.

Last weekend Rayan took part in a football tournament and he is the very proud recipient of a medal! I look forward to seeing his playing skills develop and I am sure he has a very bright future as a footballer. Well done, Rayan!

A big well done to children who received certificates at this morning’s achievement assembly. Certificates are given for excellent work, acts of kindness and good effort.

Congratulations to Mun on being awarded Grade 5 in piano. Thank you Mun for your fantastic performance at this morning’s assembly.

More are our house trophy winners again this week with 502 points! Let’s see who wins next week!
