HEADTEACHER'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

Our Royal Wedding Party was a tremendous success!  The playground was beautifully decorated with bunting and balloons and all the children looked wonderful in their red, blue and white outfits!  All of St. Edward's  enjoyed the celebration in the lovely sunshine in honour of Prince Harry and Meghan's big day tomorrow !  A big thank you to Mrs Moon for organising the event and to our kitchen ladies who prepared the delicious picnic lunches and wedding cake!

Well done to our Year 6 children who completed their SATs tests this week.  Thank you for your hard work and for trying your best!  Our Year 2 children are sitting their assessments next - we wish them all good luck! A huge Thank you to all of the teachers and teaching assistants for all of the support they have given the children throughout this time.

There is still time to sign up for the free WAES 'Out and About' workshop - please contact the school office.  This series of workshops will be focusing on making the most of outdoor learning and play spaces in London and will run for five sessions starting the 15th June.  The programme will offer plenty of ideas for budget friendly outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Our after school clubs, apart from Cookery and Football on Monday and Fit for Sport, are finished for this half term.  Please look out for new registration letters being sent home in the first week of school when children return from their half term break.

The weather is warming up so please remember sun hats, sun screen and water!

Have a lovely weekend!

Best wishes,

Miss C O'Connor

We offer our prayers and best wishes to all the children who have celebrated or will be celebrating their First Holy Communion in the upcoming weeks. They have all been working very hard to prepare to receive the Blessed Sacrament for the first time. The pupils will be invited to wear their Holy Communion outfits at a special First Holy Communion Mass on the 12th June in the school at 11:00am.

Congratulations to Jemima and Abroa who celebrated their First Holy Communion with Fr. Michael last weekend.

Year 6 SATs

Mrs Pini, Mrs Wright and Miss Paul would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the Year 6 children on their hard work and mature approach in SATs this week.  We were all really proud of our fabulous Year 6 students and know that they will have all tried their best and all deserve success!  We look forward to receiving the results in the middle of July.
