HEADTEACHER'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

Today we marked the one year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire by wearing something green so as to remember those who sadly lost their lives.  We keep all those affected and the whole community in our thoughts and prayers.

Our Summer Fair is drawing ever closer and there is still much preparation that needs to be done.  Thank you to all our parents who attended our PTA meeting yesterday and to those who have volunteered to help out on the day.  It is not too late to offer your help, however much you can offer, so please contact the school office if you are able to.  We are especially in need of parents to help out at the actual event itself - setting up, manning a stall or clearing up. A big thank you too for the donations that have come in - your support is much appreciated, for those of you whop forgot to bring in Tombola bottles (wine, beer etc) please bring them in on Tuesday.

Next Friday, 22nd June, is an own clothes day.  We will be collecting items for class hampers to be raffled at the Summer Fair.  More details to follow soon.

Please note that Monday is an INSET Day and school is closed for children.

Have a lovely weekend!

Best wishes,

Miss C O'Connor

Noel, Noor, Mun and I participated in a tense Maths contest at St. Christina's School.  Many year 5 students from different schools were at the event.  There were several questions in the two rounds.  We came second and received fraction action cards and certificates.  Thank you to Mrs Wright for accompanying us.  By Swithin

Shopping for books!

At St. Edward's we all enjoy reading a good book and our school library, with all it's interesting books, has become one of our favourite places!  Sophia, Joshua and Mun accompanied Mrs Moon on a shopping trip to Waterstones where they picked out some more fantastic books for the whole school to enjoy.  It looks like they did a brilliant job in choosing!
