HEADTEACHER’S MESSAGE

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

Parent/Teacher Consultations for this term have been scheduled for Wednesday 7th November and Thursday 8th November (Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th for Class 2). This is an important opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress with their class teacher and I hope that all parents will take up the opportunity to do so. We will continue to use the online booking procedure called Parents Evening System where parents can select and print off their own appointment times. Letters were sent home yesterday detailing how to book an appointment. I do ask for parents’ co-operation in arriving punctually. Thank you.

At The Parents Evenings (Wednesday and Thursday), there will be food tasting sessions hosted by Principals Caterers. Parents are invited to come and try the food that is freshly prepared in our school kitchen for our children’s dinners. Please do come along and meet the staff who serve our school meals and sample some of the dishes from our lunch menu.

A reminder to our Year 6 parents that the deadline for secondary school applications is the 31st October. Please ensure your application is submitted via eAdmissions if you have not done so already.

The upcoming half term promises to be a busy one so please make a note of the dates below for your diary.

Next week is our school half term, children return to school on Monday 29th October and must please be dressed in full winter uniform. Visit Ace Clothing to purchase any necessary items of uniform. Please also ensure that all items of uniform are clearly labeled with your child’s name.

Have a lovely weekend and a restful, safe half term.

Best wishes,

Miss Clare O’Connor

NOTICES AND REMINDERS

Class 9’s Assembly

Class 9 presented a thought provoking assembly about their studies of the rain forest. They have been reading the ‘Great Kapok Tree’ by Lynne Cherry which is a story about rain forest conservation which highlights how important it is for human kind to look after the forests of the world. Thank you Class 9 - your excellent assembly was enjoyed by all!

ST. EDWARD’S PTA

All parents are automatically part of the St. Edward’s PTA and there are many opportunities for everyone to get involved .

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online you could be raising a free donation for St. Edward’s Catholic Primary School PTA? There are over 3,100 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation when you shop with them, including Amazon, John Lewis and Sainsbury's and it doesn't cost you a penny extra!

To get started, all you have to do is:

  1. Join.
Head to easyfundraising, search for St Edwards RC Primary School PTA - London and sign up for free.

  2. Shop.
Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first, pick the retailer you want and start shopping.

  3. Raise.
After you've checked out, that retailer will make a donation to us and it won't cost you a penny extra!

Please help us by giving more than a gift - there are no catches or hidden charges and St Edwards CATHOLIC Primary School PTA  will be really grateful for your donations.

Here are some of our PTA’s upcoming events:

Thursday 15th November: PTA cake sale for the whole school 3:30 pm-4:30 pm. All welcome.

Our ever popular ‘World on a Plate’ event will be happening in the Spring Term so please keep a look out for further information closer to the time.
