HEADTEACHER'S MESSAGE
Dear Children, Parents, Carers, Staff and Governors,
I trust you all had a restful half term break and are ready to see through the final stretch of this academic year! The next 6 weeks promise to be busy so please make a note of the dates below of various events taking place between now and the end of the year. Also keep a look out for notes sent home and reminder text messages.
Our year 3 to 6 children enjoyed a brilliant Sports Day at Regent's Park on Wednesday. Well done to all of them for participating so enthusiastically! Thank you to our parents who came along to support and encourage their children. Our KS1 children (Year 1 and Year 2) will have their Sports Day on Monday 19th June and our EYFS children (Nurs and Rec) will have theirs on Friday 23rd June. Both these events will take place at the school and they will start at 9:30am. As always, parents are warmly invited to attend and cheer their children on!
Our PTA distributed the Summer Fair Raffle tickets at the end of last half term - there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs including a Euro city break, a meal for two at Marco Pierre White's restaurant and a spa voucher. Please try and sell as many of these as possible and return the ticket stubs and monies or any unsold tickets to the school office by the 28th June. Our Summer Fair is taking place on the 8th of July and the winners will be drawn at 3:00pm on the day. Thank you for your support and good luck!
Next Friday we will be holding our annual Children's Summer Party organised by our school PTA. There will be various entertainment for the children to enjoy and I am sure it will be great fun!
With the warmer weather upon us, please make sure that your child is wearing sufficient sun protection and a suitable hat. All children should now be wearing the correct and full summer uniform.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
Best wishes,
Miss Clare O'Connor

NOTICES AND REMINDERS
Class 7's assembly
This week class 7 shared their learning about Ancient Egypt in their assembly. They told us all about when the Egyptians lived and what their lives were like. They had learnt lots about what had happened to the Ancient Egyptians after they had died and were buried in the pyramids! Even the fire alarm didn't stop them from producing a really good assembly and singing their song really loudly and with great actions, well done class 7!
St. Edward's Goes to the Polls!
Year 6 held a St. Edward's Election on Thursday 8th of June. All our KS1 & KS2 children were eligible to vote and, after being presented with the different manifestos from the parties running in the election, the children eagerly went to the polls to cast their vote.
The parties who received the most votes were:
- St. Ed's Energy Party
- Lisson Grove Lions
- Golden Party
The winning party, St. Ed's Energy Party proposed in their manifesto to have a sports afternoon every half term and have a Sports Council to help Mr Abbas with PE!
KS2 Sports Day at Regent's Park
We were fortunate to have lovely weather on Wednesday and everyone really enjoyed the KS2 sports day. Here are some photos of the day courtesy of Mr Wu. Please click here for more pictures.
