Dear parents, carers and children,
As we enter the third week of Advent, we rejoice that Christ is coming, and we continue to prepare through this holy season.
As you would have seen in the message from Governors in the newsletter last week I have been appointed the Headteacher of our school. I am delighted and am looking forward to continuing to work with you and your children to move the school forward. Thank you for all of your continued support.
We have had another busy week at St. Edward's! We really enjoyed the Christmas Fair that our PTA worked tremendously hard to organise! Parents and Children had a great time, getting their faces painted, playing games and visiting Santa. The mulled wine was enjoyed by parents! Our hampers which were created from parent and child donations proved to be a hit and raised lots of money. Thank you for all of your donations.
We still have the sickness bug at school at present and I would like to remind all parents and carers that children must remain at home until they have been clear from their last episode of sickness or diarrhea for 48 hours. This follows the NHS guidelines and will also help us to stop the spread of the bug.
I wish to remind parents that teachers are not available after 8:55am. Once the morning bell has gone, teachers need to see to their classes and are not able to have discussions with parents as this disrupts teaching and learning time. If you wish to talk to your child's class teacher, please come to the school office to make an appointment. We ask that parents not go to their child's class after the start of the school day. I appreciate your co-operation.
This term ends on Friday 16th December at 1:30pm and Fit for Sport will be take place from 1:30pm until 6pm. Parents are able to book online for sessions 1:30-3:30, 1:30-4:30 and 1:30 -6:00pm, please see Albert for any other questions.
I wish you all a happy and holy Christmas, and look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 4th January.
