Dear parents, carers and children,
With November being the month of Holy Souls, we continued our honouring of our faithfully departed by commemorating Remembrance Day. It is so very important that we remember and respect the sacrifices that have been made during times of war. Our School Council laid a wreath in Marylebone Station, we observed a two minute silence and children have been busy during their lessons making very impressive pieces of art. I am sure you will enjoy the beautiful artwork so please visit the school foyer to have a better look at the striking display.
Our PTA are very busy organising our Christmas School Fair and Friday the 18th November will be an own clothes day for children. As a donation, we are asking for any items suitable for our tombola stall. If you are able to assist with the fair in any way, please contact our PTA (details elsewhere in this newsletter). We will also be distributing Christmas Raffle tickets next week and it would be great to see as many tickets sold as possible! Funds raised at the fair will go towards refurbishing our new school library.
Hope you have a happy weekend!

NOTICES AND REMINDERS
Class 12's Assembly
For class 12's assembly this week, we decided to focus on the ideas of love and service. Having just finished studying a unit on 'Life Choices' and with the end of the year fast approaching, we thought it would be fitting to remind everyone of ways we can love and serve each other on a daily basis. Class 12 worked extremely hard to get this message across through using their acting and singing talents, whilst working together as a team. We hope this assembly has inspired everyone to bring a little bit more love and happiness into the world!
'A simple act of kindness creates an endless ripple' Unknown
November the 11th is the day we remember and honour the sacrifices that have been made by past and present generations to secure the freedoms that we enjoy today. Our school has been involved in various activities to commemorate the day: we observed a 2 minute silence at 11:00am, our school council visited Marylebone Station to lay a wreath and below you can see some of the beautiful artwork which is on display in our school foyer.
As part of St. Edward's art lessons, all children prepared a piece of work to reflect and recall Remembrance Day. Classes used a variety of methods, materials and techniques.

Friday 18th November - all children are invited to wear their own clothes to school and in return we are asking for a donation for our Christmas Fair Tombola stall. Please contribute bottles (alcoholic/non-alcoholic), gift sets, luxury food items or toiletries (new).
